Ever the optimist. The hero who knows no fear; son of Siegmund and Sieglinde, a Wälsung and unwittingly the vessel of Wotan’s hopes for the recovery of the Ring and treasure. Once he learns of his parentage he can’t wait to use Nothung, find the Ring and treasure and in so doing to slay the dragon Fafner. Feels love for Brünnhilde with great intensity. Needs to follow his instinct and do what he believes is right. Truly a chip off the old block! But we know Wotan’s bloodline carries the curse and that his happiness cannot last. He’ll be played by Peter Furlong.
