Regents Opera (est. 2011) is a leading fringe Opera Company specialising in the larger works of the 19th & 20th centuries.
We offer emerging and established singers a platform to perform major repertoire not often staged outside the major houses.
Our critically acclaimed immersive productions include Wagner’s complete Der Ring des Nibelungen & Der fliegende Holländer, Verdi’s Falstaff, Simon Boccanegra and Don Carlo, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor and Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. LEARN MORE
“I won’t forget this in a hurry. ★★★★★”
Robert Presley was a much-loved founding member of Fulham/Regents Opera.
He was a Verdi enthusiast singing many roles throughout his career, and was our Alberich in Das Rheingold and Siegfried. We are proud to credit him with our idea of staging Der Ring.
Funds have been given in his name to begin a bi-annual Verdi Singing Prize, for which there is no age limit. LEARN MORE
The results of the Fourth Robert Presley Memorial Verdi Prize can be found here.
“A sense of grandeur.”
As part of our Educational Programme, we run orchestral workshops on very large operas so that orchestral players and our singers can enjoy working on operas in their original orchestrations in a non-pressured environment.
Our next Orchestral Study Weekend is on Sat & Sun 16th & 17th July working on Korngold’s Die tote Stadt. LEARN MORE
