Mother of the Earth and Wotan’s daughter Brünnhilde. A goddess of great wisdom and knowledge. Though no longer lovers, she and Wotan share confidences and she tries (and fails) to make him see sense. Increasingly frustrated and saddened by the chaos he unwittingly creates.
