Greetings from the Artistic Director!

If you’ve come to this page, then you’ve got one of my business cards.

The Regents Opera Ring Cycle is an extraordinary venture, and I’d really love to invite you to come and see it, support it, and experience it.

The Ring is taking place at York Hall, Bethnal Green in London in early 2025. Cycle 1 goes from 9th-16th February, and Cycle 2 from 23rd February to 2nd March.

You can see the whole cast list here, but the principals, who continue their roles all the way through the whole cycle are:

Ralf Lukas: Wotan
Catharine Woodward: Brünnhilde
Peter Furlong: Siegfried
Oliver Gibbs: Alberich
Ingeborg Novrup Børch: Fricka

The cycle is fully staged by Caroline Staunton of the Staatsoper Berlin and is conducted by me, Ben Woodward, in an arrangement of my own for 23 instruments. At time of writing, I’m just finishing up the Rheinmaidens’ Scene in Act 3 of Götterdämmerung.

And if you would like to get in touch with me to ask about it, or offer any support, please do email me.
