Seasons greetings! I write this missive/post from outside our rehearsal room in West London as my assistant conductor, JP Jennings, continues takes the reins for Götterdämmerung Act 1.
It's only week one but it's looking and sounding fantastic already!
Korngold - Das Wunder der Heliane (act 1) - workshop this Sunday
Justine Viani sings the title role in Korngold’s Das Wunder der Heliane
On Sunday 8th, we continue our hugely successful orchestral study days on Korngold's sumptuous 'Das Wunder der Heliane'. Justine Viani sings the title role in this eccentric and underperformed work. Brian Smith Walters plays The Stranger, Thomas Asher is the King, and Andrew Tinkler is the Jailer.
It promises to be truly mentally memorable occasion!
We still have places available for string players - please do drop Jon Cooley a line.
Observers are most welcome to join us for the run through at 6.30pm on Sunday 8th December at St Hilda’s Church, Courtrai Road, Crofton Park Audience members are encouraged to donate a minimum of £10. And before anyone moans that this isn’t much notice, I did write about this date in the past two newsletters!

Q: Will you be releasing any more single-opera tickets in the future?
A: Yes, on 1st January, we plan to release more, though don’t forget, opera for opera, it’s cheaper to buy cycles.
Q: I only want to see Götterdämmerung, but I can’t make either Sunday
A: Did you not hear that we’ve added in a third performance of Götterdämmerung, on Thursday 20th February at 5pm, between the two cycles?
AND MEANTIME, apparently there’s CHRISTMAS coming soon!
