Late September Newsletter - Das Rheingold is about to begin!
Happy September everyone!
We hope you had a good summer, and are now as excited as we are about our upcoming Ring Cycle at the Freemasons’ Hall.
The arrangement is now finished - Das Rheingold took about 250 hours, and Walküre is in process well into Act 2…. Our repetiteur is particularly excited because he’s going to have to play some scales with his feet!
Thank you so much to our generous donors and supporters to date, who have made this venture possible.
You’ll be seeing plenty of content and teasers from us once we start our rehearsal process on 8th October, but for now, we need a bit of help with three things:
Ways you can help
1 - Buy tickets for you and 50 of your closest friends! This is a big venue in the heart of the West End, and we’d love to fill it.
2- Can you help with sponsorship or would your company like to buy an advert in the programme? We’re currently doing okay on the sponsorship side, at about 60% of where we’d like to be for the Rheingold part of the project. We are looking to raise another £30-40K in order to help us realise our goals for this formidable and incredible project. Can you or your company help? We are a registered charity - please do get in touch! Donors get access to dress rehearsals and the opening night party with the cast, as well as special content and updates. We’re also offering naming rights to the whole Ring.
3- We need housing for two of our international artists near enough to Central London - we are rehearsing in a combination of Bethnal Green to the east, and Ravenscourt Park to the west. Two American gentlemen, currently living in Berlin need housing from 8th October until 21st November. They would be happy to live in the same flat, though would very much prefer separate bedrooms!
Carmen returns to the Wimbledon Festival
Our incredible Carmen, starring Kassandra Dimopoulou and Howard Hutt is returning for one final show at the Wimbledon Festival on Sunday 20th November (yes, one day after Rheingold finishes…)
