An Anglo-Swedish Society scholar, Mae studied at the Guildhall School of Music and made her operatic debut with Glyndebourne Festival Opera in the role of Woodpecker The Cunning Little Vixen.
Finding her soloist stage feet the young dramatic contralto received crucial nurturing by award winning Fulham Opera. Now merged with Regents Opera Mae is singing the part of Annina in their new production of La Traviata.
She is the winner of the Swedish Wagner Society’s Award 2019 and recently made her critically acclaimed house and role debut as Erda in Das Rheingold at Longborough Festival Opera:
