Newsletter for The Big Give - and our new Wanderer
Dear All,
Thank you to those of you who came to the last Così fan tutte in Wimbledon on Sunday; it was hugely gratifying to see an almost full house.
I’m writing, for the second time in eight days, in order to let you know that The Big Give is very much now happening, for the NEXT SIX DAYS, and it is our goal to raise at least £25,000 towards Siegfried and The Ring Cycle through it!
If you can help, no amount is too small, and definitely no amount is too big!
Maybe you could share this on your Facebook pages, Twitter (does anyone call it X?), Insta stories and grids… get the word out that some truly marvellous opera is happening in February (and beyond…!!) The Big Give would like you to use the hashtag christmaschallenge and if you can also tag us in your posts that would be the icing on our Christmas Cake!
Introducing Ralf Lukas, our new Wanderer
It is our huge pleasure to introduce Ralf Lukas as our new Wanderer, stepping into the shoes of our dearly departed friend, Keel Watson.
Ralf was born in Bayreuth and has pretty much sung all of the Wagner roles in his fach. You can read his full biography here, and his website is at www.ralf-lukas.de. In December last year, he sang König Marke Tristan und Isolde at the Zurich Tonhalle opposite our own Catharine Woodward. We’re thrilled that he’s joining the Regents Ring Cycle.
