Fulham/Regents Opera Newsletter, July 2021
Chamber Recital this Thursday, the return of Orchestral Workshops.
Dear All,
What are you doing THIS THURSDAY at 6.30pm?
Why don’t you come and listen to a short chamber recital given by our Artistic Director Ben Woodward, accompanying ‘cellist Alison Holford?!?
We’re playing some wonderful music we’ve been discovering over the past year — Romanian composer George Enescu’s 1st ‘cello sonata, Nadia Boulanger’s Three Pieces for ‘cello, and Brahms’s transcendent Sonata in E minor. It’s a free recital with a retiring collection benefitting Fulham Opera, as the recital was sponsored by a Facebook Birthday Crowdfund!
Tickets - for track and trace purposes - available here.
Also, the return of our Orchestral Workshops!
We’re so excited to be getting together once again. On 31st July and 1st August we will be workshopping Strauss’s amazing Die Ägyptische Helena at Greycoats School near Victoria. Do see the Orchestral Workshop page of our website for details.
Meanwhile, thanks to all who supported our La Traviata, we are looking forward to taking it to Shipton Moyne at the end of July.
And thanks to our sponsors, Big Yellow Storage in Camberley, without whom we’d have nowhere to store all of our gubbins!
