Newsletter April 2021 - TRAVIATA tickets now on sale! And here's an early bird discount code...
Greetings all from the team at Fulham / Regents Opera.
Like all artists, we’re excited about the prospect of getting back to performing, and so we’ve booked in two performances of the Regents Opera La Traviata production at The American Church, at 79A Tottenham Court Road, in Central London.
This production will be directed by Paul Higgins, and musically directed by Ben Woodward, in a bespoke four-instrument and piano version he has arranged.
Francesca Matta will sing the role of Violetta Valery, the glamourous Parisian courtesan for whom life goes rather tragically wrong. Portuguese tenor Leonel Pinheiro will sing Alfredo, and Oliver Gibbs will sing the role of Alfredo’s father, Georgio Germont.
We’re going to do two performances at the American Church, on Thursday and Friday 24th and 25th June, starting at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £40 each, though if you book now, you can use a discount code and get £5 off:
JOSEPH - for the performance on 24th June
JOSEPH2 - for the performance on 25th June
New Date announced for Chamber Recital and Orchestral Study Day
We can now announce that the chamber recital with Alison Holford (‘cello) and Ben Woodward (piano) will be on Thursday evening, 15th July at St John’s Church, Fulham. This will be a free recital with a retiring collection in aid of Fulham Opera.
The Orchestral Study weekend on Strauss’s remarkable Ägyptische Helena will be the weekend immediately afterwards, on Saturday and Sunday 17th and 18th July. Location is still tbc.
We are still finalising performance dates for our new production of Helena, though we believe they will be in the two weeks between Tues 12th - Sun 24th October.
